As the Project Architect, we represent the Owner.

During construction, we are able to provide Construction Administration Services, representing the Owner essentially being their eyes and ears on the job site.

Services would include working directly with all building inspectors and contractors, inspecting and approving work and assuring construction adheres to submitted construction documents, work is completed timely and within specified budget.

Contractors build off of what is supplied to them unless you are handing them drawings to code, an architect like myself who has over 30 years of experience in the design process and is required to take annual continuing education.

Architects are required to be versed in ever-changing building codes for both residential and commercial applications.

Because of the extensive experience we posses, we are able to mitigate and/or minimize project change orders saving the Owner money in the long run. We will see potential problem areas to avoid and design in the most budget conscious way.

Depending on your township, your builder may be able to submit necessary documents. However, you are asking a construction company who may not have up to date codes, the experience or the ability to do it. Unlike my self who is a licensed with over 30 years of experience in the design process and is required to take annual continuing education.

No, Maillet Architecture does not provide Civil/Site engineering service (Sub division site drawings/Surveys), but we are able to subcontract or team with a site engineer to provide a team effort of design services.
